Far Cry 4 doesn’t so much aim to do better as to not do at all. The plot is paper thin. You are no longer a white saviour, as main character Ajay Ghale is native to Kyrat – albeit raised in America and returning as an adult for the first time with the aim of delivering his mother’s ashes.

However, when using 'toggle to aim', you must first stop sprinting, and then toggle aim. And then you can sprint out of it. In most games, toggle to aim overrides sprinting. And then you press sprint again to override 'toggle to aim'. Not in SCBL though because ubisoft doesn't give a crap about Keyboard and mouse controls. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere. But none of the Far Cry games had toggle-aim on PC or console, which is bizarre since toggle-aim is pretty much standard on all PC shooters, and is often an option on console as well. I'm hoping they've finally added the option in this Far Cry but I can't find any answers.

Unlimited Health: Toggle on to try and keep health at 100%.

Unlimited Stamina: Toggle on to try and keep stamina at 100%.

Unlimited Oxygen: Toggle on to try and keep oxygen at 100%.

Stealth Mode: Toggle on BEFORE you are spotted and likely most enemies cannot see you.

Unlimited Ammo: Toggle on and when you reload, the ammo count does not drop.

No Reload: Toggle on and most weapons the ammo remains full in the current clip.

No Recoil: Toggle on and many weapons the gun will not kick when fired.

Perfect Aim: Toggle on and most weapons the aiming reticle is the maximum aiming precision.

Easy Craft: Toggle this on then enter the Workstation to create weapons. You can craft weapons that are unlocked, even if you do not have the materials.

Easy Station Upgrade and Trade Loot: Toggle this on and you can likely upgrade stations that need ethanol, also when you enter the Trade Loot screens, or many other inventory screens you can likely upgrade or make the transaction. TOGGLE BACK OFF when done with SPECIFICALLY USING THIS FOR CRAFT TYPE THINGS, as this is a powerful function in the game. Leave off unless upgrading.

Teleport To Waypoint: This teleport process, you might teleport slightly higher than you are currently, so make sure Unlimited Health Option is on! Right click an area to teleport to on the MAP, making sure to NOT select an icon, just a blank part of the map. Click this option, then leave the MAP and you are teleported quickly to the location!

Mega Vehicle Health: Toggle on and the vehicle you enter will have massive health.

Unlimited Vehicle Machine Guns: Toggle on and many vehicles that have mounted machine guns will now no longer overheat.

Give Perks on Components Pickup: While this option is on, when you pick up most items for crafting (like common items such as components, tape, or gears and many other items), you will receive the number of Perk points that is dislayed in the trainer. You can change the value if you like. The value is set to 25 by default. So if you toggle this on, then pick up some Gears, you will receive the gears and then 25 perk points as well. You can quickly get all perks unlocked this way.

Freeze Mission Timer: In some missions there is a timer that counts down, toggle this on to see if it will freeze that timer.

Mute Hotkeys

To temporarily disable the Hotkeys, press CTRL-H after trainer is activated. You can use CTRL-H to re-activate the Hotkeys as well. You can also mute specific hotkeys by changing the hotkey you want to mute to 'NONE'.

VR Mode

- HTC Vive

Click on the VR MODE button. Trainer options will now be drawn as buttons. Activate the trainer as usual with your keyboard. Put your HTC Vive on and when you are ingame press the MENU button on the hand controllers to open the steam overlay. At the bottom you can click on the DESKTOP button and you can easily press options on the trainer with your hand controller now.

- Oculus Rift

As of now the oculus has no unique input device and uses keyboard or xbox controller. Both are support by the trainer already.

Steam tells me that I’ve played Far Cry 5 for fifteen minutes, yet I’ve already finished the game! What is this madness?!

I’m sure anyone who is interested in Far Cry 5 has seen elsewhere the *cough* shocking news that the game can be completed in such a short space of time. But Ubisoft have done this trick before, in Far Cry 4, if you sat around Pagan Min’s dinner table for a short while, he would give you the keys to his kingdom.

I’ve been through this before with Far Cry, a great series that hasn’t fundamentally changed much over the years. We’ll ignore the first game of course, but since Far Cry 2, they’ve all been open-world shooters with a big-bad to take down. As Vaas says in what is still my favourite entry in the series; “insanity is doing the exact same fucking thing over and over again, expecting shit to change”.

So, with that to ponder, and Far Cry 5 complete, according to one of its endings at least, I think I’ll travel back in time 2000 odd years and get back to exploring the wonders of Egypt in Assassin’s Creed: Origins.
