The Sony HXR-NX3 camcorder can easily connect with other devices for remote control or file transfer. Smartphones or tablets (iOS versions 4.3 through 7.0 and Android versions 2.3 through 4.3) can remotely control the HXR-NX3 camcorder through a Wi-Fi connection and video files can be transferred from the camcorder to a smartphone.

The HXR-NX3 combines leading lens, sensor and LSI technology to achieve impressive and stunning video quality. It records in the AVCHD 2.0 format at up to 1080p/60, with 60i and 24p modes included for direct playback on Blu-ray players. 1080p/30 and 720p60 are also available. The dual SD slots can be used in relay or simultaneous recording modes when recording AVCHD (but not MP4), and a clean HDMI output has the capability of recording uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2 images externally.
While the problem users find is that 1080P AVCHD 2.0 MTS/M2TS files are not favorable for Avid Media Composer (including Avid Media Composer 6.5). Even you sucessfully load NX3 1080P AVCHD 2.0 to Avid, it always need a long time for rendering. As we know, Avid’s most friendly video format is DNxHD MOV. Step1. Import or drag & drop HXR-NX3 1080p AVCHD 2.0 MTS/M2TS
Click 'add video' or 'add folder' to load NX3 1080p AVCHD 2.0 MTS/M2TS files. You can also drag & drop directly. Sony just says send them in for service. I'm curious what other repair options are available, since without them our class will have to rely on cell-phone cameras.
Anyone have this issue, or know what to do about it?
